Setthek Halls

oh heck...

The long path to Karazhan began with a first step on Sunday night. The foot of the first step got stomped on a bit by the angry bird men in Sethek Halls.

The group was entirely made up of underachievers; Pixiepea, Ershin, Huggiebear, Ragemonger and Raid Master General Olaii.

The mobs here really hit hard and have all sorts of nasty tricks up their sleeves. They stick together as well in quite large groups. Imagine the scene if you will of fighting 4 angry bird men who have the power of fear! The power of mind control! The power to summon elementals! Power steering! Power Shower!

At times the whole group was scattered all over the place after having been feared, while Ershin under the mind controlling thrall of the angry /evil/ birdmen, would chase after us with a big weapony thing. Even typing it now sends a shiver down my spine.

We struggled through to the first boss, Darkweaver Syth. None of  knew what his special powers were but it turned out he could summon his own elemental pets, 4 of them, at the same time. It was quite a tough tank and spank and those pesky elementals got in the way at times but we took him down and none of us died which was nice.

Fighting our way to the final boss was even tougher and alas there were casualties along the way, including a group wipe or two. Raid Master Olaii rallied the troops with a rousing speech (consisting mostly of a lot of ‘ffs’) and soon we were standing face to face with Talon King Ikiss.

Talon King Ikiss has a key, a key to the shadow labyrinth. We need this key because we want to get into the shadow labyrinth, However Talon King Ikiss is much like your mom or dad after you pass your driving test and you ask to borrow the keys to their car. It ain’t gonna happen. Not without a massive big fight first. Hurrah!

We knew a bit about this boss, we knew he could teleport around the room, that he had fear but worst of all he had a massive wtfomglol arcane explosion attack  which could wipe you out if you weren’t careful.

We were careful but the Talon King was crafty and managed to hit us hard and wiped us out 3 or 4 times with his wtfomglol attack. Finally we got him with a cunning plan. Olaii made a long trip to make some arcane protection potions for us. While Ershin used his shamen powers to keep Huggie, Olaii and himself alive. I concentrated on keeping  Ragemonger and myself alive and after what seemed like a really long fight and one or two close calls the King was dead! And the key was ours!

well

the point here really is that we did a great job, once we knew how to do the job. If some persons would learn (Im looking at you pixie, plz try to remember shackle-undead-shackle-undead) their characters a little more we in the underachivers wouldnt be the underachivers. So thx to you pixie, we are the best guild in the World of Warcraft. Atleast we are best at not being the best. But a good laugh is never far away, and that is why I play. Thx for a great run guys!

I beg to differ...

Pixie did a great job on healing (as always)... the last mobs you marked, you didnt explain to Pix that he had to shackle (or if you did I missed it)...

So leave da Pix be - he is an imba healer!
